My book I HEARD YOU SINGING was launched in April 2012 and has been selling successfully.  It was self-published so I am having to do the 'hard-yards' in promoting it myself, but a great spin-off from this has been when a purchaser not only comes back to buy another book but recommends it to friends who also purchase and so the sales go on.
For those who are interested in opera,  there has been an interesting coincidence for me this year. My late husband - tenor Ramon Opie - and I met when we were singing in the original 1964 New Zealand Opera Company's productions of Verdi's Rigoletto and Smetana's The Bartered Bride and these are the two operas that NBR NZ Opera is presenting this year.  As a result, the Friends of the Opera promoted my book during the June season in Auckland and will again do so during the Sepember season.  So, opera-lovers, don't miss the opportunity to see a great opera and buy a book that contains much of the history of a similar season many years ago.
